Donuts and BBQ? Bobby Q is up there with best BBQ in Phoenix, even with a little sugar on the side.

Let's start this review out by making it clear that I am an avid "smoker".  In other words, I have my own smoker rig, and I sure know how to use it. During our visit to this restaurant, my husband and I decided to share a "whole hog" meal which included St. Louis Ribs, Beef Ribs, Sausage and Brisket.  Of all of these meats, the only one that we didn't care for was the brisket.  Something was off and very mushy about it.  Brisket should be able to be pulled apart with your fingers, not completely fall apart like baby food.  For the sides, we had baked potato, beans, and pecan coleslaw.  These were also great!

The atmosphere is somewhat contemporary and very comfortable.  The service rocked!   It's no Mom and Pop place, but a great effort on their part for sure.

The kicker? At the end of out meal, they brought us a bag of freshly made cinnamon sugar donuts (pictured below). As if we had any room left! These were some of the best donuts I have ever had, and to be able to take them home with us after our meal was a real treat. Well done Bobby Q!
